Keep Bamberg County Beautiful

Keep Bamberg County Beautiful (KBCB) leads the charge in inspiring and empowering our community to take ownership of Bamberg County’s environmental future. Our mission is to drive impactful action in beautification, litter prevention, and waste reduction, fostering a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant county for all.

As a proud affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc. (KAB), we uphold the national vision of environmental stewardship by mobilizing citizens, businesses, and local organizations to actively protect, enhance, and take pride in the places we call home. Through leadership, collaboration, and community engagement, KBCB is committed to creating a lasting legacy of environmental excellence in Bamberg County.

Since its inception, KBCB has received or assisted in bringing in more than $480,000 in grant monies from funders such as PalmettoPride, DHEC, and Keep America Beautiful. The organization has assisted in planting more than 300 trees and shrubs throughout the county. KBCB has assisted in removing over 75,000 pounds of litter from roadways, boat landings, and parks. The department completes most of its work with volunteers. In addition to volunteers, KBCB partners with the South Carolina Department of Transportation, local businesses, churches, and other community organizations to fulfill its mission.
