Re: Bamberg County Veterans Food Box Giveaway a Success: All Food Boxes Distributed Within One Hour
Bamberg, South Carolina (September 22, 2026) – Bamberg County Veterans Affairs, in partnership with Hidden Wounds, proudly celebrates the success of today's Veterans Food Box Giveaway held at Veterans Park in downtown Bamberg. The event began at 9:00 a.m., and within just one hour, all available food boxes had been distributed to veterans from Bamberg County and surrounding communities.
The overwhelming response demonstrated the community's appreciation for our nation's veterans and the importance of providing meaningful support to those who have proudly served our country.
Bamberg County Veterans Affairs Director Norris Williams thanked the community for its participation and the successful partnership with Hidden Wounds.
"Today's event was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when our community comes together to support our veterans," said Williams. "To see all of our food boxes distributed within just one hour speaks to both the need in our community and the tremendous support for those who have served our nation. We are grateful to Hidden Wounds, our community partners, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Our veterans have given so much for us, and it is our privilege to give something back to them."
