Bamberg County Recreation Grants
The Bamberg County Citizens Recreation Committee will accept applications until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, for grant funding for youth-oriented recreation projects. This will be the only round of applications for this fiscal year (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026). Applications are available online at www.bambergcounty.sc.gov (under the heading Citizens and Visitors) and in the County Administrator’s office in the Bamberg County Courthouse Annex – Isaiah Odom Building – 1234 North Street – Bamberg, SC (245-5191 ext. 2103). Approved projects will be funded on a reimbursement basis only. (Your organization must have been organized and functional for at least one (1) year in order to be eligible for consideration.) Emphasis and priority will be placed on projects which serve a large portion of the citizens of the County (youth 18 and under), and those which have not received funding previously. Applications are to be returned to the County Administrator’s office by the absolute deadline of May 18th, or mailed to: Bamberg County Administrator’s Office – P.O. Box 149 – Bamberg, SC 29003. The Committee will make its recommendation of qualified applicants to the County Council at its June meeting.
