Fan Donation Project

Let's make sure NO Bamberg county citizen is HOT this summer!


The goal is to collect 100 fans to distribute equally throughout Bamberg county.


Many Bamberg County citizens do not have air conditioning in their homes and are only able to open windows to escape the brutal South Carolina heat. We can make a difference by donating fans to our citizens, as the summer heat can be extremely dangerous to their health.


How can you help? Donate a fan or make a monetary donation for the cost of a fan ($12-18 dollars for one inexpensive fan).  In addition to a personal donation, consider inviting your churches, organizations, and schools to contribute to the "Fans for Friends" project!

Monetary donations should be submitted to Alice Johnson, Bamberg County Treasurer. Checks should be made to Bamberg County Treasurer with "Fans for Friends donation" in the memo line. Checks can be dropped off at the Treasurer's office, 1234 North St in Bamberg. The office is open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Donations of fansDrop off fans at the Thomas Rhoad Senior Center at 498 Log Branch Rd, Bamberg. The office hours are Monday -Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You may also call Trent Kinard (803-383-4242) if you need to make alternate arrangements.
